Division 8: Door Hardware

Complete spec writing and commissioning services for hardware and door supply services, including:

New Construction

1. Developing architectural hardware specifications which complies with building and life safety codes in new construction.
2. Provide product catalogue cut sheets for all hardware item recommendations. Provide samples of hardware when required.
3. Review all hardware submittals, schedule shop drawings, and catalogue cut sheets with the architect.
4. Attend site review meetings when required.
5. Coordinate with electrical, security and interior designer.
6. Develop master key systems.

Aftermarket—Building Renovations

1. Site walkthroughs to identify building and fire code non-compliance issues relating to door hardware and develop a strategy to resolve non-compliance.
2. Review and verify ADA compliance and function of Automatic Door Operators.
3. Review and verify proper function of door hardware.
4. Review current key systems, if breached, assist in the development in new system.
5. Review condition of access-controlled doors (monitoring conditions, intrusion alarms, etc.) and apply pertinent hardware to them.
